GC for Life (the "Site") is operated by 618 Digital, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), an Illinois corporation. We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to run the prayer coordination effort. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

  1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the Site:

  • Account information you provide: your email address, first name, last name, and optionally the church you are affiliated with.
  • Participation information: the days you commit to pray, the prayer you log (whether you prayed, where, and for how long), and any optional notes you add.
  • Communication preferences: which reminder and update emails you have opted into.
  • Basic technical information: standard server logs kept by our web host, such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the Site running.
  • Email activity: through our email provider, we receive information about whether emails we send are delivered and opened.

We do not collect payment information. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We do not use advertising trackers.

  1. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and sign you in using emailed links.
  • Coordinate prayer coverage, including showing which days are covered.
  • Send you the reminders, coverage requests, and update emails you have opted into.
  • Record and total the prayer that has been logged, including for the public totals and the rolling weekly feed on the Site.
  • Keep the Site secure and prevent misuse.

Public-facing parts of the Site display only aggregate totals and, in the recent activity feed, a first name and last initial. We do not publicly display your full name, email address, or contact details.

  1. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the Site:

  • Web hosting provider. Our website and database are hosted on a server we control through our hosting provider. The provider stores the Site's data on our behalf.

  • E- mail provider (SendLayer). We use SendLayer to send emails and to log delivery and open activity. SendLayer processes your email address and related sending information for this purpose.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or us.

  1. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the Site secure. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not track you across other sites or build advertising profiles.

  1. Your Choices

Email preferences. You can update which emails you receive at any time from your dashboard, or by using the unsubscribe link in any non-essential email.

Your information. You can ask us to review, correct, or deactivate your account information by emailing us. After deactivation, totals reflecting prayer you have already logged may remain part of the Site's historical record in aggregate form.

Required emails. Certain account-related emails (such as a sign-in link you request) are necessary to use the Site and are not subject to opt-out while your account is active.

  1. Data Retention

We keep your account and participation information for as long as your account is active and as needed to maintain the Site's historical totals. We keep email and security logs for a limited period for troubleshooting and security. We remove or anonymize information we no longer need.

  1. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwordless sign-in with expiring links, and limited administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  1. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and note material changes on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
